I build the whole thing.

A factory floor tracking production. An analytics tool that answers questions in plain English. Insurance people can actually buy online. I build the interface and everything behind it, in whatever the job calls for: React and Next.js, Vue, .NET, Node, Python. What I care about is that the whole thing still holds together on a Monday morning.

I used to price risk for a living.

I trained as an actuary. The job was working out what might go wrong and what it would cost. Software felt like the better end of that deal. Instead of pricing the damage, you build the thing that takes the hit. I still design that way. What breaks first? What happens when it does? Who finds out?

Two systems, and what they had to survive.
